Bicycle PCR can be used with PCR, qPCR, digital PCR, Sanger sequencing, and NGS. 

Bicycle PCR increases the sensitivity of NGS. The leading sequencing instruments still have an error/noise rate of 0.1%, particularly when including standard deviation. Additionally, Bicycle PCR greatly reduces the number of reads required. The current market leader sequences 100,000 reads per target looking for the needle in a haystack, and Bicycle PCR reduces that number to only 1,000 reads per target.

Bicycle PCR can be multiplexed for multiple amplicons and for multiple mutations within an amplicon.

Bicycle PCR provides the same sensitivity as Signatera using just a single target. The advantage of Bicycle PCR is that it is standardized, scalable, and cost-effective. Bicycle PCR enables what patients want and need: frequent residual disease testing.
